Alec Baldwin fatally shoots flim crew with prop gun on movie set

 



A film crew member name Halyna Hutchins 42 year old woman was Accidently killed by Alec Baldwin on the movie set 

 in New Mexico, Santa Fe County sheriff's.

 She was flown to hospital by helicopter where she was pronounced dead and 48 year old  director Joel Souza, was taken from the scene at Bonanza Creek Ranch by ambulance, the sheriff's office said. 


The Police said they were investigating and that no charges had been filed.Sheriff's deputies were dispatched around 1:50 p.m. local time (3:50 p.m. ET) after a 911 call about a shooting on the set, the office said.


Halyna Hutchins was from Ukraine, and grew up on a Soviet military base in the Arctic Circle

according to her personal website. She studied journalism in Kyiv and and worked as an investigative journalist with British documentary productions in Europe and film in Los Angeles.



Halyna Hutchins worked as director of photography on the 2020 action film “Archenemy,” starring Joe Manganiello.

“I’m so sad about losing Halyna. And so infuriated that this could happen on a set,” said “Archenemy” director Adam Egypt Mortimer said on Twitter.

Incidents such as Thursday's fatal shooting on the Rust movie set are rare. It was later  destined that the gun used had earlier fired a round that caused a cartridge to become lodged in the barrel. When blank rounds were fired, the cartridge was dislodged and released.
